Robin Cogan, MEd, RN, NCSNis in her 19thyear as a school nurse in the Camden City School District and has been a nurse for 35 years.

Robin initially was studying to become an art therapist; however, after finishing up her clinical experience at a psychiatric hospital in Philadelphia she decided to shift gears and become a nurse. In addition to being a full-time school nurse, she also teaches as a part-time lecturer at Rutgers University-Camden.

In July 2017 she participated in a workshop at the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) annual conference. At this conference, she learned how to start a blog and become more active on social media. She started the Relentless School Nurseblog which has become a platform for social justice activism. The site is also a place to share the work of other school nurses and to give them a voice. In 2019 Robin was given the President’s Award from the National Association of School Nurses. She is very active on social media and can be followed on Twitter @RobinCogan. Nursing is not just a profession for her but also a passion.
